If you bet he's folding everything you beat. If you check he's not betting unless he has you beaten (he's not betting TT/99/AJs here). Checking seems better.

$14 and jam literally ever river. I don't know wtf chargers is saying, hes in one of those mindsets again. He calls with all kinds of hands you beat including worse draws.

So I bet $15 even though I felt like he flopped a set and he shoved. He showed up with 77, but I hit a jack on the river. The funny thing was, after 80 hands he was playing like 18/11.

What was interesting about this hand was that I made a correct read based on incorrect information and then ignored that read and got lucky. Poker is funny sometimes. And if I was stupider, I'd probably think I was pretty smart.

I like c/r. 8/4 after so few hands means little. Give him a chance to bet, despite what other posters have said, a lot of players will bet at a sign of weakness.

I lead this turn and am so absolutely thrilled to get my gamboool on in these spots if they happen to show up with a set. Checking loses so much value here from draws, jacks, QJ, poorly played overpairs, etc. His range is so much wider than sets here...why are you automatically assuming he has (and giving him credit for) 77 here?
