HU 100-200 vs hung la
waiting to get in the main game
HU vs hung la (one of the best no limit players i've ever played with) i have 27K hung covers. la raises to $800 on the button, i make it $2600 with red kings, la calls. flop Qc Jc x ($5200) all thoughts and comments appreciated. now lets pretend we check flop and he checks behind whats your line on a 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] turn? what do you do if you lead flop and la raises?

i'm not a fan of the flop check. heads up i think la is calling your re-raise with a fuckton of hands other than QQ/JJ (which he would probably 4bet actually) so I really think we have the best hand here more often than not. with that said I would bet/call the flop but if your goal was to set a trap by checking I would bet turn as you did. how much did you bet and how much did he raise? I dont think your in that bad shape here and even if you are behind you always have straight outs (unless he has AK which I also think he'd 4bet) so I think I am shoving here on the turn without some kind of sick physical tell that he is v. strong.

HU is def. my specialty and i don't think la plays that much HU. i'm not trying to be cocky, as i certainly don't think I have an edge over him, he is a world-class player, but i don't feel like i'm taking too much the worst of it. it also helps that la respects my game a lot and isn't trying to run me over HU.
