I'm not sure you're asking about your preflop play, but regardless, you should raise more preflop, because it's a 4.40 donkament and there's a good chance someone (or a few someones) will call an overbet. Given that you have the nuts and your typical opponents at this level are probably playing quite loose, you'll want to build a pot, and my line of thought here is that making overbets pre-flop (while donkey's KTs still looks pretty and full of possibilities) is the best way to do it.

As far as your flop play goes -- without a read, I'm probably insta-calling this because MP2 could easily have a 9, a flush draw, or an open ended straight draw -- all hands you would very much love to get your money in against here.

Having said that, it's certainly the case that MP2 might be fearful of the coordinated board and is trying to 'protect' his flopped trips, so I suspect that some not-insignificant percentage of the time, MP2 villain has an 8 here, but not enough to make this a -EV call for you. And, in light of that coordinated board, the likelihood of one of the EP villains sand-bagging an 8 seems quite low.

While I'm not going to run PokerStove on it, I'm quite confident this is hugely +EV call against MP2's range.

Lately I've been pushing preflop with AA and several limpers in these $4.40's and I get called almost every time by at least one player. In your spot I call.

BTW - I see you're from NZ. What's up with that thing over there where people roll down big hills inside of plastic balls...? I saw something on TV recently and it looked like a blast.

regardless of the fact that I was in similar situations about 10 times this past weekend, and each time I called with AA and ran into flopped sets or trips, I would still make the call early in a 4/180. Fishy Fishy Fishy...

Raise more pf, call turn, minimize window, and hope you don't see 85os.

wrong forum, but yeah, easy push. I would think that he'd do that with an overpair, and a flush draw.

Then again, like what was mentioned, I would prob have raised just a bit more preflop, and then pushed all in after the flop if it wasn't just horrible (ie QQJ).

Kinda funny huh how early in a 4 especially a raise like 5x bb gets called by more than half the table.
