Default oop river decision

I sent this hand in (one that I played a while ago) to ed miller's site, he had some good feedback and I wanted to get msnl's opinion as well. if you don't read his site, comment on this hand first before reading it:

5/10 NL online (6max, which I forgot to mention), 1k effective stacks. not much info on villian, he has called a lot on early streets and frequently bet big on later streets when checked to, almost always in position.

hero opens for 35 with Ac7c in the cutoff, villian cold calls on the button, blinds fold. flop is As 5s 8c. hero bets 65 into a pot of 85, villian calls. like the bet? I think I should have bet less here in retrospect.

the turn is the Jc. pot is 215, hero bets 165. curious if you think this is a mistake? anyways, villian calls.

river is 7h. pot is 545, hero checks, villian moves allin for 735. hero?

looks exactly how i'd play it, bet sizes and all. i'd call the river.

i might occasionally mix things up by check-raising the turn, probably all-in.

I for sure check the turn. Most people, but especialy this guy given description, will bet a draw if checked to there. If he has air we obv. want to check, and if he has a bigger hand we want to check. I call river.

what's the value in betting the turn? he's not calling with worse and is rarely folding better. i think c/c to play it as a bluff catcher (although this leaves you in a tough spot on the river if you c/c turn and the river bricks) or c/r to take advantage of his willingness to make big bets when checked to is better. i'd c/r.

I check the flop, sometimes, but betting is good as well. Especially if he's floaty. If he's fairly good, the hand can get really tough to play, when you check, and eliminating those spots is probably better than the the money that you get by inducing bluffs.

Turn bet seems awfully optimistic. You are hardly ever going to get looked up by worse here, unless there are metagame considerations you're not mentioning, and also very rarely fold out better.

I would probably check/call here, and check/re-eval river. (on a blank)

As played.... you say he "bets big" but have you seen him overbet like this? I would probably call, but I would expect to see a flopped flush, a decent amount. Is there any worse hand than ours that he would bet for value, here? The J on the turn makes me lean more towards the call, since it made a lot of combo draws with the K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] that he could might call with.

EDIT: Ughhh, I suck at reading boards, lately. Thought it was monotone....

EDIT2: Haha, my 9Kth post is a [censored]! Woopie!
