Default Big snow coming. Do you watch the local news?

Hey oot'ers,

Please oblige me here.
When it is going to snow a lot like it might Tuesday in Chicago, Indy, Columbus, Cleveland, etc.
Do you watch the local news for weather coverage?

If yes, what do you like about the coverage? What annoys you? What do you think is funny? Etc?

It blocked out some of the subtitles in tonights Heroes.

Also I would like to point out that I [censored] hate snow.

My local weatherman has a brow that would be a difficult rock climb. He also has a massive unibrow. And it's supposed to snow one to two feet here tomorrow night, which means I have to stock up on my essential survival commodities: beer, cigarettes, frozen pizzas...

But this isn't just tonight. i'm from chicago and heard that tonight we're only supposed to get three with an additional 11" throughout the day tomarrow. I think they are just hyping up the numbers. Chicago never gets as much snow as the weather man says. And after New York I don't think any snow is a lot of snow anymore. 11' f that.

I'm pissed right now. Supposedly Springfield already has 5 or 6 inches and Champaign probably more. I'm an hour south and its sprinkling. This is about the 3rd time they've said we were supposed to get snow and I'm missing it again. And yeah, I watch the local guys. The weather girl for WCIA in Champaign is pretty hot.

Sometimes they will say "We expect 6.5" of snow" and then other times they say "2-8 inches".

I never watch because

a) They forecast the Storm of the Century, and we get 1.5". They get absolutely orgasmic over the stuff. I'm pretty sure at least two of our local weather guys have made love to a super-doppler.

b) They shrink my tv show down to the size of a postage stamp to show alerts down the left side and bottom of the screen for hours at a time.

c) In the summer they break into a show to go live and report that we just had a thunderstorm and most of it has passed through the city. 20 minutes later they return to programming (still in progress).

For these reasons I wish death upon local news.
