Default Learning to play JJ from Scuba, JJ = around 90% of hands dealt to him

No joke - I think Scuba gets 'em more often than the rest of us. Since practice makes perfect, I thought I'd do a search and provide everybody with some food for thought.

These are nearly all started by Scuba. I passed up many threads of OTHERS posting JJ hands and Scuba merely RESPONDING. We want only to see the JJ Master's hands.

Mods - can he get a custom title over this?

NL100

$11 early on

55 speed

55 Reg, early

$55, lvl 4

Set early on a 3 flush flop

Late, time to double up? or EZ fold?

$55, lvl 4, 2 big stack limpers

JJ against a fish w/a bad ace for top pair ---- Can I bully him out with his bad kicker?

$33 early, push over/3-bet JJ overpair? connected board

Scuba announces his hatred for Jacks

$33, folding JJ preflop?

Scuba proclaims this as one of the best JJ discussions around - "JJ UTG"

Edit: and by "lol" I of course mean, "thank you"

though its worth noting that Curtains, compared to Scuba is a JJ noob because he doesn't get dealt it nearly as often.

Half my post basically say that people suck at poker don't give them any credit. Curtains says it once and suddenly you have never learned more from a Curtains post. I hate Curtains.

Aw, Pudge, when it comes to telling me that people suck at poker, you and curtains are in a dead heat. But when one of you actually post content, I sit up and listen. Curtains said:

[ QUOTE ]
Chceking the river is just terrible terrible poker and shows a poor understanding of your opponents...you lose all your chips anyway when they have a flush, and you gain nothing when they would have called with a worse hand (which they would have done plenty of). Every so often they will bluff off some chips to you but this by no means makes up for the times that they will simply call your river bet.

[/ QUOTE ]
This really messed with me. When I saw the hand, it was an obvious WA/WB, so a c/c was best. That line is now clearly the worst, and it's got me thinking hard about why.

PS. I'm going to crush you in week 10. Like a bug.
