Status Of MTTs
I have been reading Harrington on hold em and it explains that when the tournament gets close to the prize cutoff the play changes. Most players turn conservative. How would I take advantage of this. Stealing pots?

Re: Status Of MTTs
Look for the move-up the ladder types and try to steal from them with your raises if you have M>10. If your M<10 you need to open shove most of the time. On the bubble be aggressive and try to steal from button, CO or HJ if it's folded to you. But stealing depends on your opponents. If you're playing less than 10$ buyins first look at the table and spot the "reckless donks". When they fold try to steal. Some tables will be tough for this part of tournament like when you have big stack donks to your left and sometimes the only position will be available to steal will be early positions. Learning bubble-play and pushbotting really requires much experience and it's hard. For higher stakes bubble play, i can not help you because i don't have experience on bigger than 26$s.

Re: Status Of MTTs
Playing a bunch of turbo sng's would really help you to get out of the "squeak into the money" mindset. You can, many times, push and not have any resistance at alot of tables close to the bubble because people are worried about getting their buy in and half.

Re: Status Of MTTs
very simple. pay attention to those tightening and to stack sizes at table.
open raise alot but be carefull calling 3bets bc think if tbl is tightening they are strong when they 3bet. |
