I know the creator of that group/site. Good guy, so he's got my support. you're right though, it's nothing compared to the guy who gambled all of his life-savings on the roulette wheel, but seriously $4000 is pretty big to a college student.

And yes, I'm not THE MAN like the guy who bet his entire life... but really, $4k is a ton of money for a poor college student like me.

I'm just trying to have a good time and enjoy myself in Vegas

Assume the guy makes >300ish on advertising for this site. Doesn't make the bet +EV but in away it covers the house edge, if you assume he cannot make this money without actually doing the bet.

Approx 5% house edge on $4k bet is -$200 EV per bet.
