Default Question on blind stealing

Well, me and my friend got into a discussion about how i steal way too much and i always end up getting screwed by it. I disagree but thats a whole different story in itself. When stealing, does a big raise of 4xBB serve just as good of a purpose as going all in?

I'll use an example from today 9 left FT blinds are at 2k/4k no antes. I have 60k avg chip stack is around 30k. I'm third in chips. On the button pick up 10 7 four people limp including the chip leader. Pots at 22k and i push. Would raising 16-20k work just as well?

Are you going to raise 20k of your 60k then fold? Or perhaps get called by the CL who has 100k where you're stuck playing a 50k pot with 40k in your stack?

It's fold/push/limp/raise anything else. In that order.

But folding is far and away the best choice. You have twice the avg stack at the FT, wait for less of a [censored] gamble.
