Default Stars .5/1: Am I a weiner for folding on the flop?

Nemesis 1 is a 37/18/1.9, Nemesis 2 is a 28/8/3. I had been raising and taking down pots pre-flop without too much difficulty, so I decided to go for it with AJo from UTG +1.

PokerStars 0.50/1.00 Hold'em (9 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero raises, 3 folds, CO (Nemesis 1) 3-bets, Button (Nemesis 2) caps, 2 folds, Hero calls, Nemesis 1 calls.

Flop: (13.50 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, Nemesis 1 checks, Nemesis 2 bets, Hero folds, Nemesis 1 calls.

Final Pot: 9.75 BB

Should I have called two more bets pre-flop? The re-raise from Nemesis I wasn't too bad, given how loose he is, but the re-raise concerned me. I thought I had reasonable odds to call, but after I totally missed the flop I gave it up, and then kicked myself afterwards.

So:

Is calling two more bets pre-flop a mistake?
Was folding the flop a mistake?

preflop...sure, fine by me.

flop, I'd peel, but I doubt I'm going to showdown with this.

You have 3100 posts, haven't you figured out the best way to post a hand? Cut it off at the decision point you have a question about. When you post the whole hand, your replies are tainted.

What are your ranges for them? What are your outs? How big is the pot? What kind of flop do you need to get to continue? How likely is that? How many bets do you need to put in to even see that flop?

Why the hell are you apologizing for open raising with AJo?

a 28/8 open caps and you are calling with AJo?!?

if you are actually calling the cap then yes, folding the flop for one bet is ridiculously bad

Preflop raise is fine, but you should really get out when it comes back capped, especially against an 8 PFR.
