Re: set of 88\'s, ace pairs on the turn
im interested to see what others do here but I typically just shove. the vast majority of people wont bluff raise missed diamonds here and if he RR with a boat anyways you still call. so I shove bc nobody folds trip A ever.

What about going for a c/r? If I bet propably just pot it.

Re: set of 88\'s, ace pairs on the turn
I think this is the perfect spot for a c/r.
If villain doesn't have an A he's probably not calling a bet anyway. Also, raise preflop. |

Re: set of 88\'s, ace pairs on the turn
cr he might bet his missed diamonds and he's not raising the crappy ace that he limped utg with but he'll be with it and probably call a cr

Re: set of 88\'s, ace pairs on the turn
Any reads on villian? I wonder if the Zeebo theorem applies here and he will always call with any ace. Since he limped pre-flop (a weak play in 6 max) I don't think he's capable of folding Ax here for a double the pot bet.
I'm also not sure if I like raising pre-flop as it will bloat the pot and force you to play a diffucult hand OOP. |
