Villain in this hand is BBV legend iamhiv. Normally I'd fold AQs out of position to the big raise preflop, but I've seen HIV get way out of line more than once in these games, so I imagine I'll be pretty well paid if I hit. I got the flop that I wanted, but I'm not sure whether I should go for the immediate checkraise, or let a card come off and hopefully encourage him to fire again. Thoughts? |

Re: $27: TPTK against aggro villain
Fold preflop like you said.. get it all in when you hit this flop. You called a huge preflop raise to see this exact flop, why fold now?

Re: $27: TPTK against aggro villain
I'm pretty sure I said nothing about folding. I'm never folding a hand like this against this villain.

Normally I'd fold AQs out of position to the big raise preflop [/ QUOTE ] Thats what I was referring to.. I fold this preflop normally and so do you from what you said. If you have a read that makes the preflop call ok, then get it in on this flop because you aren't finding better situations than this. |

Re: $27: TPTK against aggro villain
I would raise preflop when it gets to you. You have a decent hand and want position. By limping you give villain a chance to raise light. If he comes over the top after your preflop raise, you know where you stand.
As played: based on your read, I would be willing to go to the felt with this. There are no draws on the board so you don't have to get the hand over right away, but with that sized bet, he's got to assume you have something if you check/call the flop, and he probably shuts down on the turn. Check/raise here, puke if he pushes. |

Check/raise here, dance if he pushes. [/ QUOTE ] Did you not imply villain often plays like a donk? How can we not want to get it all in here? |

Re: $27: TPTK against aggro villain
from what i've seen of him he'll keep firing. with this relatively safe flop i'd let him hang himself on the turn.

Re: $27: TPTK against aggro villain
Very reasonable... better than shoving. But anyone suggesting that we are in trouble here I think is way off.
