Default My Biggest Online Hand Yet!

.50/$1 Limit Game - 6-handed

Hero is on the button with K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

UTG calls, fold, fold, Hero raises, SB 3bets, BB folds, UTG caps, hero calls, SB calls.

Flop is J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Villian1 checks, Villian2 bets, Hero calls, Villian1 raises, Villian2 3bets, Hero calls, Villian1 caps, Villian2calls, Hero calls

Turn is 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villian1 bets, Villian2 raises, Hero calls, Villian1 3bets, Villian2 calls, Hero calls

River is A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villian1 bets, Villian2 calls, Hero raises, Villian1 3bets, Villian2 calls, Hero calls

Final Pot: 29.5BB
Hero shows KQ for the Ace high Straight and the win.

Nothing too clever or exciting, but it felt good to hit that River Ace and take down that pot. Should I have capped, regardless of the FH possibility? I guess I felt AA or JJ or even TT were all possible, given the PF action. As it turns out, although they didn't show, it seems like we were looking at villian hands of KK, AK, or QQ here? Make sense?

if your gonna call all those bets you might as well cap it on the river when you get there.

You're right, with all those previous bets, what's one more? As the kids say, “my bad”.

Yeah, if you're gonna call the 2-bet on the turn, might as well cap it. No sense suddenly being afraid of the boat on the river.

Yeah, no doubt that was weak to get afraid of the boat at that point. I missed me two BB there. But 29.5BB is still pretty sweet, no? Not BBV worthy??

Not if its .5/1. Get a 45 BB pot at stakes where you can buy more than a toaster with your winnings.

So sorry - I didn't realize the BBV forum was reserved for high-stakes players only. Please accept my humble apolgies!

Congrats! Given how you played the hand I'm sure you've been involved in plenty of other huge pots, and I can see why this is the first time you've won. Well done!
