Why don\'t they put ads on poker sites
I was just wondering why poker sites never have ads on their lobbies, tables, etc. Yeah they'd be annoying and distracting, but if they generated more money for the sites and resulted in reduced rake and reduced tournament fees I'd be fine with it.

Party Poker is going to do this soon for their play money tables. This is their way of monetizing their .Net site.

Re: Why don\'t they put ads on poker sites
Businesses are conservative, and advertising on poker sites would probably be seen as a questionable strategy, at best. Unless the advertised product is targeted to (and headquartered in) a jurisdiction where online poker is clearly legit.
And if there was any money generated by ads, I doubt it would lead to reduced rake or tournament fees. |

Re: Why don\'t they put ads on poker sites
in live play the casino has to pay for the property, staff salary etc. an online casino only has to pay for electricity and bandwith after they set up the servers.
