Default foxwoods new cell phone policy

I heard there is a new cell phone policy @ the woods. Touch your phone and you are off the table for a round of blinds?

It sounds like they are trying to be more player friendly.

When I saw the title of this thread in the index I thought "wow, they're loosening up a bit."

Ha ha ha, I'm an idiot.

This is a good rule except for telling time. I can't stand when people are on phones missing action on anoying the table with loud conversation that we are only hearing one side of. But does anyone else think this is a good rule.

This rule really sucks. I usually text my friends my hole cards and this gives me an advantage over the other players at the table.

Nice. Hopefully they enforce it. But this doesn't apply when you get up from the table, does it? I always stand up and take at least a step or two back when picking up the phone. I hate being that guy.

I'm confused how this would be an advantange. Wouldn't getting information from others give you an advantage instead of telling your friend? LOL

What…you think it would be less inane hearing both sides?

Here’s hoping the “cell ban” picks up steam in more areas than the poker room.

They have had the same policy at Canterbury Park for a while now. It was adopted in response to a couple idiots at a 2/4 table texting their hands to each other.

It has really helped speed up the game. Good rule.
