Top set in a 3bet pot line check
No reads on villain except that he mini 3bet my button steal from the blinds, i folded. That and he is very active in the chat box. Doesn't help us in game play but he is definitely a douche in real life.

Re: Top set in a 3bet pot line check
a 3-bet pre and a check on the flop screams monster to me. as played you have to pay him off on the river. looks fine though

Re: Top set in a 3bet pot line check
bet the flop, and you might want to just shove the river.

Re: Top set in a 3bet pot line check
bet the flop. way to draw heavy of a board to check on. make him draw to a flush or straight, and get his money that way. you lose value on the flop by checking, and let him improve his hand to beat you.

A 10/4/1 reraises preflop and then checks the A high flop with a set of aces so often, it just makes me want to cry. Its not good poker, its not tricky, and it makes it obvious what you have once you start to put money in since your flop check is either a pair less then TP, or a set, and you aren't putting the money in with less than TP. |
