if you call turn you should be snap calling that river. [/ QUOTE ] Because villain's range is the same on both streets? |

[ QUOTE ] if you call turn you should be snap calling that river. [/ QUOTE ] Because villain's range is the same on both streets? [/ QUOTE ] no, because that river changes nothing apart from the fact that draws have missed and hero should be deciding on the turn whether or not he is going to call a river bet. simply calling turn and hoping villain checks behind river is pretty weak. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] if you call turn you should be snap calling that river. [/ QUOTE ] Because villain's range is the same on both streets? [/ QUOTE ] hero should be deciding on the turn whether or not he is going to call a river bet. simply calling turn and hoping villain checks behind river is pretty weak. [/ QUOTE ] First part is somewhat true. That does not however mean that we can not decide to call turn and fold river. I call river because our hand is somewhat underrepped and he can be bluffing or value betting worse. I do not call because folding turn is ridic weak and hence folding river must be equally weak. I also think it's somewhat close and that we are beat pretty often. |

Re: AQ i mess it up pf
of course. the fact that villain bet the river makes it more likely that we are beat, that he has AK/AJ/set/whatever. i'm not saying that river is an auto call simply because we called turn - i just mean that in general if i choose to call turn i'm generally calling that river all day and expecting it to be +EV. i'm not calling for the sole reason that calling turn and folding river is weak. its just part of the reason.
EDIT: you said it well yourself - I call river because our hand is somewhat underrepped and he can be bluffing or value betting worse. thats why i snap call river |

Why not b/f turn. As played snapcall [/ QUOTE ] he might crai with a flush draw or even as a bluff and we prob have to fold to it. he doesn't get to bluff into us again if he just calls it puts us in a kind of crappy spot OOP on the river i think c/c is a better line all things considered |
