Buying new monitor, need help

Ok, I read the monitor FAQ and it was very helpful. Just a couple of things I was wondering about.

I'm moving up from a 19" CRT. When I shrunk windows on Stars sometimes the numbers for bet amounts or the pot would get a little illegible (and some numbers looked like others if I wasn't careful).

I understand that I ideally would want a 24" monitor, which has the resolution needed to stack Stars windows without resizing them. However, I'm on a budget that will allow for a 22" widescreen LCD. I can't afford 24". I take it that since 22" LCDs only have a 1680 x 1050 resolution, I have to reduce the Stars windows a little.

My question is, are there any problems with reading the numbers then? Or anything I should know?
