Default NL25, 45h flops a straight...

The river pairs the board.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

UTG ($36.08)
MP ($25)
CO ($32.33)
Button ($29.72)
SB ($22.49)
Hero ($24.30)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.25, 3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($0.87) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets $0.75, Hero raises to $2.2, UTG folds, SB calls $1.45.

Turn: ($5.27) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $1, Hero raises to $4.5, SB calls $3.50.

River: ($14.27) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
SB bets $5, Hero?

Now I know I'm at least calling here. I mean it obviously doesn't look like he had a set by the way he played it. It certainly looked like a draw followed by a weak bluff.

Do I shove here or what? At the time I only called figuring that only hand that calls a push with has just trip 6's or a boat.

Villain is 42/9/4 but this is only over around 20 hands so i figure the AF don't mean much.

Also, I think I should of raised the turn more. I seem to be writing this on the majority of my posted hands.

Anyway, advise me please. Thanking you.

I'm probably just pushing. He's put over half his stack in, and I want to get paid off when my suited connectors hit. My guess is you pushed and he showed you 22 or something.

yea, probably raise more on the turn. it looks more like he flopped pair 6 on the flop than anything, i think. doesnt look at all like a set or boat. cant get away from this hand i think, i might just call down, but that might be a bit weak...iono

That's why I'm posting it wudabum. The more I thought about it the more I think it was weak to call and I should of just shoved.

Warhammer. I know the result is irrelevent. At the time I just kept thinking that the only hand that calls a shove is trips which I beat or a boat. Then I thought maybe top pairs and two pairs may also call considering he's put so much in. Also that the players at these levels and with these stats are generally less than 'thinking players'. So yeah I think it probably should of been a shove but wasn't sure so that why I'm posting it.

At this level, you're getting called by a lot more than trips or a boat. You'll get called by overpairs like TT and sometimes even top pair like A9. If he really does have a set, this is a horrible way to play it.

A 42/9/4 calls a river shove with any 6 every time.

If me managed to make a boat well then...crappy
