Default 50NL; 150BB\'s; AQ on AJKA gets check raised on turn by passive player

Villian is 73.5/1.32/.94 postflop agg. over 76 hands.

At the time I used up some of my time bank and thought it was a somewhat difficult decision. Now I'm not so sure that it really shoulda been a difficult decision...but I'd like to get some other opinions on what I did here anyway.

ultimate lag calling station. This opponent isn't very aggressive so I bet he has something.

A smaller ace is definately in his range. I shove here expecting to see a smaller ace.

With how wide his range is pre, I think I have to get it in here because he's likely going big with a weaker hand but expect to be beat a decent amount of the time. This kind of line screams "weak ace."

Always funny to see villains slow down with A2 because "he MIGHT have a better kicker you know", but then they hit trips and they are like "OMGTRIPS BESTEST HAND IVE HAD ALL WEEK ALLINALLINALLIN!!!".

Shove. An AF of 1 isn't really that low at all for a villain with a vpip that high. Villain can certainly have any ace here IMO.

Effective stacks are almost 150BB deep. Are we willing to stack off here with AQ on this board?

If I assign the range
AA, KK, JJ, A2s+, QT, A5o+
to Villain, we are about 50/50.

I don't think a call here is hugely +EV, but I'm leaning towards a call because ace-rag is an important part of his range.

Well done... lol...this is exactly what happened right down to villian's cards. And afterwards he said "what a time to pick up trip aces. I should have I folded." To which I responded, "tough to fold." I got a "very tough" back in response.

BTW I decided to just call turn and get it all-in on the river and hope he had a lower A. Well the river was a T making me a straight. He checked so now I knew he didn't have a boat and had a weaker A 100%. I shoved the 42 or 44 or w/e was left and he timed for a while and then muscled up and called with A2.
