Question about stars weekly TLB and shaundeeb
OK so I'm trying to go after the weekly TLB this week a la Shaundeeb by playing a shitton of $4/180s, $10/180s and $20/180s and other assorted low limit donkaments. So I get stars to email me my current standing and I see I have close to 2K points. Then I see my weekly ranking (the button on the stars lobby) and I only have ~1400 points. WTF? Well:
"Not all of the above points may count toward weekly, monthly or annual Leader Board standings. Only the 10 best results will be counted for the weekly rankings, 20 best results for the monthly rankings, and 100 best results for the yearly rankings." If this is the case, how did Shaun manage to win that week's TLB by 20-tabling like 8 hrs a day at the 180-man sngs + smaller donkaments? Even if he somehow managed to win 10 $20/180s, all he'd get is 300x10 = 3000 points total for that week. Or did he play bigger buyin tournaments as well (like 109r's etc)? |

3000 is usually good enough to win.

Re: Question about stars weekly TLB and shaundeeb
whoever wins the sunday million usually does not play that much during the week. Usually they finish about with 2500.
This week it looks like they have kept piling up points so its going to be tough to win. You can get alot of points from a top 3 in one of the rebuys. Only trouble is the huge field sizes. so i guess you need a blend of sit and goes and MTTs though this is probably not going to be an easy week to win it. |

vivek,
i bet shaun probaly won a couple of micro tournaments with a couple thousand entrants, and padded that with a crapton of 20/180 successes. u either have to go HARDCORE on the 180s or win some stuff. i really should have won this last weekend but i made turning stone day 2 :/ |

Previously 3,000 has been more than enough to win. I am not sure how the current influx of players due to the Party etc. closings to US players will affect this, but I would still assume that 3,000 will win on most weeks. |
