was my shove here bad?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.05 BB (4 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)
UTG ($0.56) Button ($11.47) Hero ($5.77) BB ($4.17) Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.15, BB calls $0.10. Turn: ($0) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) River: ($0) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: $8.34 Villain's raise unnerved me a bit: Over 30 hands, the only aggression I noticed from him aside from preflop raising with Premium Hands were paltry bets (2BB-4BB) on the flop and turn to take down pots that have been checked through. He seemed to be incapable of launching huge or daring bluff raises. Still, I didn't want to just call here and continue playing the hand OOP, so I decided on shoving to put him to the test and try to take the pot down right there. Afterwards, I felt rather dumb about this play as it betrayed the pot size philosopy... i lost control of the pot size and it resulted in me creating a huge pot while I'm holding a merely marginal hand. Thoughts, anyone? What would u guys have done, folded outright or call and then c/f on the turn? or merely reraise instead of going AI? |

Call, check turn/river. If he bets again, fold.

Call, check turn/river. If he bets again, fold. [/ QUOTE ] I pretty much agree. Although I'd probably call a small river bet if the third diamond doesn't hit. |
