NL$10: AJ no longer TPTK
Hand wasn't played by me but I found this confusing. Villain is >70%vpip but don't know the other stats. What are you doing on this turn?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($9.75) BB ($7.55) UTG ($10.45) UTG+1 ($11.40) MP1 ($10.65) MP2 ($6.35) MP3 ($9.55) CO ($6.10) Hero ($10.25) Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 3 folds, MP2 calls $0.10, 1 fold, CO calls $0.10, Hero raises to $.50, 2 folds, CO calls $0.40. Flop: ($1.25) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) CO checks, Hero bets $0.85, CO calls $0.85. Turn: ($2.95) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) CO bets $.60, Hero? Converter wasn't working but cleaned up as best I could. |

Re: NL$10: AJ no longer TPTK
i suppose at 10NL this could mean a myriad of things, from a decent player i would expect a PSB here with a vulnerable made hand, i.e. ass end straight or 2pair. w/o specific reads, i call turn, hope to check down river( obv exception non-spade queen). Hero's getting almost 5-1...at this limit CO might have some spadey draw w/ middle pair here as well, who knows. crappy spot

Re: NL$10: AJ no longer TPTK
These bets are so hard to read. I mean 60c into 3 dollars? seriously? And yet it happens all the time in these games for some reason, I don't understand it. Honestly you might be good, you might not be, I probably call the turn because he's clearly not going to make it THAT expensive on the river

[/ QUOTE ] I've noticed that the really bad players use these tiny bets as "cheap" bluffs. The concept of pot odds does not even enter the play. Then again, a sizable portion of the somewhat better players seem to use tiny bets as "raise me, please" plays. For the above reasons, I agree with you. Call looks like the right thing to do. |

Re: NL$10: AJ no longer TPTK
On weekends the play gets occasionally pretty weird. Just last night I personally witnessed four 10NL tables with players/flop at 18% or less. It's almost as if the multitabling, non-regular bottomfeeders crawl out of their holes to prey on purely recreational players - they devour the fish and end up with one another on the same tables, each with 120+ BB stacks. And you'd be stupid to leave such an obviously lucrative table, since everyone has a huge stack of money, and they are all really bad players, right...
The best name I can think of for those tables: Japanese stone gardens. |
