directions to yankee stadium by train please

coming from ac to north jersey, wheres the best/first/easiest place to catch a train to get me to yankee stadium?
newark? hoboken? or?
surely some of you can help me out

step 1: take any new jersey transit stop on the north jersey coast line or northeast corridor lines whichever is closer (bay head/manasquan etc, or trenton, respectively)

edit: do not get on the atlantic city line, you'll have to go through philadelphia which will add at least an hour to your trip)

step 2: get off at new york penn station

Option 1: less walking, more changing trains:
step 3: take the blue line (A or C, NOT E) to any of the stops along the park (59th to 141st)
step 4: at one of those stops get off and switch to a B or D train
step 5: take B or D to 161st street (yankee stadium)

Option 2: more walking, simpler route:
Step 3: walk one block east from penn station to the orange line (B or D, NOT F or V)
step 4: take B or D to 161st street (yankee stadium)

btw don't drive all the way to newark you'll have to sit in traffic for no reason but you can drive farther than i stated in my other post ldo, whatever is easiest

i dont feel like comparing a map of the garden state parkway to the new jersey transit map
