Live low stakes hand: Call river AI w/fourth pair no kicker?
EDIT: wrong forum, mod please move to strat
I just played a live low stakes tourney (approx. $40 buy). Blinds, 500/1k. Unknown Villian has 21k, I cover with ~30k. No reads really, but it's safe to say that in this tourney unknowns are probably bad. Villian in MP opens for 2,5k, folded to me in the BB w/4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I call. Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero checks, villian bets 5k, hero calls. Turn: Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero checks, villian checks. River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero checks, villian bets 13,5k (all-in), hero calls. I discussed the hand with some friends and some thought I played it well others that I played utterly hopeless. The flop call is probably a tad loose. I wasn't too thrilled to see a Q on the turn but was surprised that he didn't fire again. When the river 3 hit and he went AI I simply couldn't put him on a hand that he would value push the river with. I hadn't shown any strength in the hand, so I figured he put me on a draw. Is my hand good here often enough to call? |
