Default wpex bots

about 4 months ago, wpex got rid of all the bots on the site, and there were a lot. did they confiscate the funds? are players who lost money to them receiving money back? thanks.

I've never seen WPX say they got rid of the bots but have heard it discussed here. I remember __1__ had a list of suspects, many of whom I was very sorry to see go.

If there were bots which were banned I've not seen a nickel and I took many a beating in the 10/20 game in which they were said to be most common, despite winning money in the 5/10 20/40 and 30/60.

I'm unaware of anyone else who has received money back.

Has there ever been confirmation that WPX did ban a slew of bots. I know a whole host of players disappeared en masse a few months ago but have never heard the reasons "officially" discussed.

If anyone on here got any money back because of the alleged bot banning then I am 100% sure we would have heard about it by now.

Since we've never even heard a confirmation that this (the bot ban) happened, I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Bots were the 1 reason I left WSEX. It was redonkulous. Reimbursing me might get me back... hint ... hint

Makes the most sense that the bots were run by wpex.

Ridiculous.

I believe the GM did make a comment about the bots after those players disappeared. Something to the effect that a number of suspicious accounts were closed, but that funds were not seized because there was no clear proof of bothood.

Here it is:

[ QUOTE ]
We were notified about some unusual play. Players were asked to leave. There was nothing conclusive, but we felt it was best to close the accounts and send them on their way. Unfortunately, we are now seeing a snowball effect on the downside.

I think we will be announcing some changes for the better this week.
