Default Question about this forum

I've been a NL player for quite a while now and I've decided to go back and re-build my limit game from the ground up. So I'm starting off at 2/4 at the bike and I'm going to buy small stakes hold em.

My question is if this forum is geared more to the internet play or the B&M play. They are so different in that live the 2/4 is pretty much filled with 60 year old nits who play every day and novices who are just starting out and it really is a game of no fold em hold em. I want to be able to build up my edge on these players and move up to the higher limits. What do you all think?

It's about 50/50, to be honest. Some post live hands, some post online hands.

I'd recommend you read here and medium stakes. SSSH/Micro are more online friendly, while this forum has plenty of both.

There are a fair number live hands but I think there are more online hands posted. That may change with the 'bans' but we'll see. I wish all posters would indicate L for live and OL for online in their titles since I have no interest at all in OL hands.

Secondly, I don't think you should start at 2-4. That's almost like trying to learn at the online play money tables, imo. I'd start at 6-12, at the minimum.

most of the hands are from online play but online and live games are pretty close anyway if you play small stakes. in both cases the players most of the time go too far with weak hands and donīt have a good pre-flop hand selection.
