Default aces just calling the reraise pf

villians 21/18/3 over 600 hands. only history is he three bet my utg raise early in session and i folded. i'm running 23/19 and just got called down then donk shoved on the river by a fish (sb) when i was two barreling from the button. other than that i've been neutral.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $141.10
BB: $70.00
UTG: $110.00
Hero (MP): $100.00
CO: $74.90
BTN: $179.10

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $3.50, CO folds, BTN raises to $12.00, 2 folds, Hero calls $8.50

Flop: ($25.50) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $18.00, Hero...

I like that flop a lot, he's likely not to have a flush draw, but his action says big hand ... are you shoving or possibly just calling and taking it to the turn?

Check raise him to 36, then shove the turn

eh, minraise is always purely for value in this situation so he knows your not bluffing. I'd just shove and get called by QQ+ and Jx (and maybe spades too)

I think this is a perfect timing for 4-bet preflop.

1. He probably has a reasonable hand to be 3-betting your early raise, again.

2. He may think you're a little frustrated after the last hand.

3. He may figure you've just decided to play back at him.

Great spot to let him figure his JJ/AQs/AK kills your range and mark it off as a 'cooler' if he's behind.

That aside, I'd just check shove the flop as played. Similar reasons. You're getting looked up if he has anything.

Make a larger cr than the min. I would probably just shove here.

what is the guy gonna pay off a 2x's pot bet with? QQ/KK? If he has either of those the money should have went in preflop. I would have just rerasied preflop also.

nice argument. i considered 4betting but have gotten in the habit of calling with aces and stacking off most flops, i think i agree with you here though.

I'd shove.. you have Ace of spades so he's not on a flush draw.. but check/calling and another spade might kill your action.. same with a K or an A if he has something like QQ.... min-raise looks stronger imo... plus it's not overkill to push and over-pairs are almost never folding.. hands like 88-10-10, AQ/AK probably don't pay you off anymore anyway whether you min-raise/push/or call.. fast playing is never bad.
