Default i recommend checking out the opera 9 (beta) browser

i still get messages about my big firefox extensions post (saying thanks, asking for updates, etc) on a pretty regular basis.

i switched to opera 8.5 a while back, but didn't say anything because i think it was sorely lacking in a few areas that genuinely affect usability (no ctrl-enter domain completion, no right-click creation of keyword searches, etc). still it has FAST rendering, low memory footprint, etc. they have done a TON with opera 9 and i can basically recommend it without reservation. it's still in beta, though, so caveat emptor and all of that. i haven't had a single crash with preview 2 though.

it can be downloaded free at http://snapshot.opera.com/ (mac, unix, and windows).

http://snapshot.opera.com/windows/w90p1.html and http://snapshot.opera.com/windows/w90p2.html detail the changes since version 8.5.

one big bummer is a lack of roboform support, but it does have 'the wand' (no relation to hitachi...) which is its own free replacement.

i can go into the options i like to set if anyone is interested.

I'm interested in it because I just downloaded firefox and I can't get any video's running...some of them say I need to download plugins but they say plugin is missing. Have you had that problem?

I've been using Opera 8.5 and it is so much better than Firefox mostly because it never leaks freaking memory. It has a nice built in pop up blocker, an RSS reader, a sweet zoom feature as well as a bunch of other cool stuff. It is the best kept secret on the Internet.

nation,
You probably need some codecs. google xp codec pack and proceed from there.

Don't know what you use, but I was pleased to see that mouse gestures are built into this browser. Haven't played around much too see what else there is.
