Crappy spot because you're flipping at best against a solid villain. This is super read dependent. Readless I'd push TT+ AK.

Is TT really better than 99 here if the villain is solid (which I have no indications of)?

If villian has been raising a lot shove. If not, make a decision. It's close and reads are important.

I shove TT+,AK against solid villain. Maybe 88+,Aq+ against looser villains (say vpip over 25)

How he got his chips is usually influencing what Im doing with 99 here. The 1K in the pot with a 1600 stack and 99 is hard not to shove at, so I think in-game Im shoving unless I have a read that he is good. I usually assume unknowns = donks
