Default NL50 A3s flops a draw.

Hand 1.

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $103.15
UTG+1: $50.35
CO: $57.05
Button: $45.35
SB: $51.35
Hero: $153.40

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
4 folds, <font color="#cc0000">SB raises to $1.5</font>, Hero calls.

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($3, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">SB bets $2.2</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $7.

Villian is 20/15/2. Is raising the flop here standard? If we get called, we take the free card? Is this the best lines at the micros?

Hand 2.

Hero: $49.25

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
<font color="#cc0000">UTG raises to $1.5</font>, 4 folds, Hero calls.

Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($3.25, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $2</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($7.25, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $5</font>, Hero calls.

River: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($17.25, 2 players)
Hero checks, <font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $12</font>, Hero folds.
Uncalled bets: $12 returned to UTG.

Villian is 18/15/2 and is a regular. Should we be defending the bb against a utg raiser here? I think we should have b3bai the flop.

Hand 1 is fine.
Hand 2, preflop is bad versus an utg open from a tag regular. If you do call, i prefer either donking or c/ring

Bingo. Can't stress how bad preflop is in hand 2. Fold this even vs a button raise.

Hand 1 as theyve said is ok
Hand 2, PF is not terrible, I mean almost 3-1 on your money, and you got a decent hand. I think the best line is betting flop, and if reraised, shove it.
Absolutely hate the turn call.

do you advocate a raise? Folding is awful. Really, really awful. Look at the pot odds and our outs.

yeah, OOP I dont think that we are getting good implied odds to go with it by just flat calling. I mean if hes a solid regular and the diamond hits, he will have an easy laydown.
I do feel its better raising than calling, I see a lot of fold equity here... plus we have some outs, that in case of being called and hit, we would get paid on the river.
Of course I dont like calling the flop there either, I would raise it too.
