Default Any thoughts on the Dell 24 inch widescreen

Can't really afford the 27 or 30 inch Dell's. I'd prefer two Samsung 204bs but my wife's response was "ZOMG two monitors wtf?"

Anyway, how many tables could one fit on the Dell 2407? What is the biggest drawback to using 1920 x 1200 resolution vs. 1600x 1200?

It depends what you are going to use the PC for.

If you are going to be often playing 8 tables of poker, getting two 1600x1200 monitors will be very good.

I have two of the Dell 24" monitors, and use on for HDTV. It is excellent (although I have noticed for the first few minutes it can be a little darker than normal while it warms up, I guess)

Pixels across = 1920
Pixels across a poker table = 800*
Tables you can fit across your screen = 1920 / 800 = 2-and-a-bit

Pixels vertically = 1200
Pixels vertically on a poker table = 600*
Tables you can fit vertically on your screen = 1200/600 = 2

Total tables you can fit on your screen = Tables you can fit horizontally * Tables you can fit vertically = 2 * 2 = 4

*If you are using resizable tables, adjust these figures accordingly. Also, the 800 and 600 numbers are marginally higher than the real numbers for Party and Stars, but for the ease of calculation, we'll use them.

I can't think of any except that a 1920 x 1200 monitor will be more expensive than a 1600 x 1200 monitor.
