Crazy Live Game
This hand happened several months ago at a B&M. One thing to keep in mind is it was the last hand of the night (the casino closes at 4:30am on weekdays) and in general the last hand of the night can get real loose. The blinds are $2/$5. The game is down to just three players. Effective stacks were ~$400.
Hero is dealt Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] in the small blind. Button limps, Hero limps. BB raises to $50, button calls, Hero calls. Flop ($150): 10 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero leads out for $100. BB raises all-in for ~$400. Button calls. Hero calls all-in. Turn (~$1200): 10 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] River (~$1200): 6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Results: BB has A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (Ace high flush) Button has 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (Sixes full of tens) Hero has Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (Tens full of sixes) I realize PF action was really loose, but it was the last hand of the night so I couldn't put anyone on a real hand. But after the re-raise on the flop is there any way to fold? |

Re: Crazy Live Game
I understand what you're saying about the last hand of the night, since I'm a live player (and I always play late). But that's not an excuse to completely suspend the laws of poker. Calling a 10xbb raise OOP preflop with QTo is absolutely atrocious. The fact that people are in a situation where they will play bad cards aggressively doesn't diminish the amount of the time they will be dealt real hands.
Flop is difficult, if they were both really bad I might call. |
