NL400: refraining from cb\'ing TPTK
On the advice of one of the CR guys, I'm trying to check a good hand (like top pair with overcard) on the Flop every now and then to dissuade players from always playing back at me when I miss the flop and check. This hand is an example.
What do you think? Too FPS with drawish board ...or just fine? Villain is 35/11/4 after 100 hands. ** Party Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $2/$4 6 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $309.74 fooz: $443.80 CO: $220 Button: $1034 SB: $396 BB: $1156.76 Pre-flop: (6 players) fooz is UTG+1 with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG folds, fooz raises to $16, CO folds, Button calls, 2 folds. Re: NL400: refraining from cb\'ing TPTK
I would bet this flop since its so drawy and you get called by a wide range of hands.

Re: NL400: refraining from cb\'ing TPTK
You should really do this only in position. If you want to protect your OOP checks it should be with CRs usually, although sometimes if its really WA/WB (not here) you can c/c.
Bet the river all day btw. |

i like it but i think you are losing value in not betting the flop as cbboy said you will get called with a wide range.

I hate this against a villain with stats like those.

Re: NL400: refraining from cb\'ing TPTK
this is way to drawy of a board. Also, as others say, do it in position. The check oop of position might be ok on a dry board on the turn when you decide to c/c hoping your opponet will be mid pair/bluff or whatever.
