Final Pot: t1260 Under what kind of circumstances could you do anything else than fold here? If he is a complete maniac who would nearly min-raise ATC here (I got some of these players in my database ) can you call/push or even check/RAI ? My opinion is that against this type of player I will often just check/fold, because he is very unlikely to fold to my c-bet and I will be paid out by him so good when I hit that waiting might be best. I would love to hear your opinions. As played: I might a mistake by checking my note on Villian after I put in my c-bet. My friend said (low-limit MTT player) that he would not auto-fold here like I did. Is he right or is my standart play probably the best choice? |

Re: [$33] Can you call?
why cbet missed AQ against utg+1 caller?
c/f or c/call half pot if you like. betting just aint good here, if he has something you beat like 77- hed check them and you can start betting on turn or river if you wish.. |

[ QUOTE ]
why cbet missed AQ against utg+1 caller? [/ QUOTE ] So you are saying, regardless of the read I had on villian, that the Caller is strong and he most likely hit something on this board and you should most likely fold? This seems right against an unknown, but what line would you play against an maniac? check/fold or check/call as well? Thanks so far, I guess his range is beating us on this board and we are happy to get a free card... |

Re: [$33] Can you call?
if hes raising ATC, then you probably shouldnt be cbet/folding, youll have to make a decision if hes just always on air and you can value shove (and hopefully have a wide enough gap that he'll fold a lot of those terrible hands), or if you should just c/fold. problem is like you still want him to fold 33 which he may not if hes as bad as you might be indicating, in which case c/fold is pretty clear.
i think c/raising, again, assuming there is any type of reasonable gap in his flop betting range and folding range, is also interesting, but would have to work a high % of the time. not really advocating it, but its better than calling the flop minraise and better than betting into someone who is always going to raise you here. |
