Using $US internationally
Currently, I'm annoyed by Party's 3% vigorish on converting from $US to $AU.
What methods do people use to: a) Convert their money from $US to whichever local currency is used? and/or b) Use $US when outside the US? Like, is it possible to somehow get money from Neteller etc. through to Paypal or other online payment processors? Alternatively, should I consider establishing a $US account? Does anyone have any particular recommendation of such an account? (preferably one that would be accessible in Australia)

dude, just make a USD bank account. I am sure that this is easily possible at a bank in your country.
