limp raising AA utg
is checking this flop foolish to induce turn action or let him hit a card? seems pretty safe flop...
villian is 12.7/3.6/1.67 over 520 hands and i cant imagine him raising without AQ+ Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.05/$0.10 Blinds - 8 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $4.20 BB: $7.25 Hero (UTG): $15.60 UTG+1: $2.20 MP1: $9.25 MP2: $9.85 CO: $14.60 BTN: $9.80 Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (8 Players) Hero calls $0.10, 3 folds, CO calls $0.10, <font color="red">BTN raises to $0.50</font>, 2 folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $2.00</font>, CO folds, BTN calls $1.50 Flop: ($4.25) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, BTN checks Turn: ($4.25) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) Hero checks, <font color="red">BTN bets $2.00</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $4.00</font>, BTN calls $2.00 River: ($12.25) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) <font color="red">Hero bets $8.20</font>, BTN calls all-in for $3.80 Uncalled bet of $4.40 returned to Hero Pot Size: $19.85 ($0.95 Rake) |

Re: limp raising AA utg
whats wrong with the minraised turn? the guy only had 3.8 left and i didnt want to scare my customer away... i was sure i could get it in on river... min raising just lessened the chance of him folding when i have the nuts.

Re: limp raising AA utg
I think limp raising PF if fine if you think it will work but I wouldn't be expecting that particular villain to raise you all that much given his stats.
As played from the flop onwards: I would want to get some money in on that flop for value. A $3 raise would leave you $10 behind which I'd plan to put AI on the turn which wouldn't be too much considering how large the turn pot would be. |

[/ QUOTE ] But he makes no mistake, when he is drawing to the flush. Remember: Only mistakes from our opponents bring us $$. When you always make small raises with your good hands, he makes smaller mistakes if he calls with his worse hands, and in the long run, you are losing $ |

[/ QUOTE ] 1. There are 3 flush cards 2. If you'd bet the flop then you wouldn't need to minbet to make it tempting. |
