best place to look for cheap rooms on the strip
hey all,
does anyone know of any good websites to find cheap hotel rooms on the strip?! im a las vegas newbie, so i dont even know what the hell to look for... there will be either 3 or 4 of us and so far ive found a room for 3 at the tropicana for $120 a night..is this good? any help would be appreciated... london

OP is obviously new to the forum, and asked a specific question - "I have this rate for this hotel and this many guests, is it reasonable?" We could use more info to help london out. Like what are the dates for the stay? If you can't be bothered to read the post and process it as not the usual FAQ, don't bother to reply with the usual sarcasm. How long would you have hung around here, soah, if your first posts to One Table Tournaments and Mid and High Stakes had been answered this way?

In my experience, the hotel's website gives you the best rates. Orbitz, etc. are usually a little higher. My last stay everything good was booked to the hilt, so we stayed at South Strip Travelodge. The location was great and free wi-fi was included. It was a short walk to Bellagio, MGM, Aladdin, Paris. Not fancy, and not a good place to impress a lady friend, but good for a place to crash. In my experience, Tropicana (South Strip), Imperial Palace (Mid Strip), and Stratosphere (North Strip) tend to have the best rates among casino hotels.
Cheapo Vegas is a great site. For a comparison of available rates through multiple sites, try Travelaxe. http://www.travelaxe.com/Information_Overview.asp Booking directly through the hotel, while it may cost slightly more than Travelocity of Orbitz, gives you more flexibility to reschedule/cancel. Also, if the hotel later drops its rate for the period booked, you can contact them and get the lower rate.
