I call here because I dont like folding, but unless you have a reason to think he gets out of line in the BB I think you can fold getting 9-1.

I call here too, I'll probably get flamed for this but, your not showing any aggression on the flop, which leads me to believe that he is going to keep firing into you. I think that more often than 9-1 you're seeing something like JJ, TT, or maybe 88 trying to shove you off of your hand.

this is an easy call if u get to the river, if ur deciding to fold then fold the turn, not much is going to help on the river

you beat KJs and QJs
i just call down from the flop. I don't think the turn and river change that much. |

Why arent we raising the flop in a 10 SB pot?

[ QUOTE ]
Why arent we raising the flop in a 10 SB pot? [/ QUOTE ] if he 3bets the flop, or c/r the turn, are you folding top pair in a 6BB+ pot? I don't take lines that lead to folding top pair HU in nice size pots. If he has KK-TT, you still get your 2.5BB. If he has Ax beat, you lose 3 or 3.5BB, or fold the turn, neither of which I feel like doing. THere is no one to protect your hand from, so why raise this flop? |

I think the flop is just so dry that raising the flop doesnt really serve a purpose. Also, I was calling the turn planning on calling the river but then that card came off and made me wonder how many times Ive called in this spot and actually won. |

you also chop with other Ax, which many avg tags with auto 3-bet in a blind situation
I also agree with taking a passive line that does not involve folding. Not only will you fold the best hand sometimes, but you also pass up the chance to spike a 5 when you need it. |
