TPGK vs Steaming Opponent on wet board
1/2 Live NL
Been at the table for three orbits opponent recently got stacked. I was in the washroom so I didn't see the hand but he is not terribly happy about it. Stacks ~300 Hero makes it 8 with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in mp, Villain calls in LP, BB calls. Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 Players, Pot $25) BB checks, Hero bets $20, LP raises to $130 with $5 chips leaving six $25 dollar chips behind, BB folds, Hero? Reads: LP pushed only his red chips into the pot making an almost 2x pot reraise. He left green chips behind and his hands withdrew from the felt closer to the rail than before. Typically live reads can be somewhat decieving but I was really thrown off by the large overbet then meakish actions. Originally I thought a large portion of his range was sets and smaller portion was draws but his actions were really wierd and threw me off. Anyway, given this information what should the hero do here? |

Re: TPGK vs Steaming Opponent on wet board
Get your money in the middle.
edit- misread 5 $25 chips for 5 $5 chips. This guy is gonna be a loose cannon and you will get those chips. Either he has 2 pair/set or a flush draw. That is his range. Nothing else. So you can choose to gamble now or wait till he is in real bad shape. A FD has ~38% equity against your hand though... |
