Poker Tracker - I\'m SHOCKED!!
Sorry but this is a real NL newbie question/discovery.
Is BB/100 TWO times the big blind in NL? Normal? I never really looked at BB/100 in NL since I did not have enough hands. then doing it by hand was not working our to the PT stats. I'm only half as good as I thought I was LOL |

Re: Poker Tracker - I\'m SHOCKED!!
Yes. 1 BB/100 = 2 Big Blinds / 100
You'll see some people say ptbb for poker tracker big bets. Don't you mean you are twice as good as you thought you were? For example, if you run at 4 ptbb/100 then you actually make 8 big blinds per 100 hands. |

Re: Poker Tracker - I\'m SHOCKED!!
He thought he was making 10BB/100 based on doing calculations by ahnd, and the PT told him it was only 5.

Re: Poker Tracker - I\'m SHOCKED!!
BB in poker tracker is big bets (limit turn/river bets) not big blinds. It is one thing that is not that good about poker tracker doing NL. The other thing (general not specific to NL or limit) is the way hands and actions are represented in the database. Not that Poker Tracker isn't a very good tool all-in-all.

If you don't like it, you can change it to big blinds by opening the statistics window, clicking the preferences tab, then right under game levels there's a check box for it. |

Re: Poker Tracker - I\'m SHOCKED!!
Well - I was combining my Bodog stats and AB stats and then figuring out by BB/100.
Am AB stats were in the 26BB/range and my Bodog stats were in the 4.31 range but as I was doing things by hand I could not make a realistic number (like 26BB/100 is realistic LOL). Then I noticed it was DOUBLE the big blind. SURPRISE. A for PT - well - personally I don't think calling a min raise REALLY calling a raise. When I playe dlimit this was the main thing I looked at when looking for fish. VPIP and CCalling a raise. In NL it seems cold calling a raise 10% of the time is the norm. In limit 1% was pretty chasey. It's all about implied odds in NL. Something to get used too. |
