More levels or more time?
Which would you prefer, and why? Or does it not matter.
The rounds before and after are the same in both instances. The 25/50 level is round 4. First 3 rounds are 5/10, 10/20, 15/30. Any other info needed? Scenario 1: Blinds Time 25/50 20 min 50/100 20 min 75/150 20 min 100/200 20 min 150/300 20 min 200/400 20 min Scenario 2: Blinds Time 25/50 30 min 50/100 30 min 100/200 30 min 200/400 30 min |

If, however, players will let themselves be blinded off if they don't pay attention, give me the first structure instead. |

Re: More levels or more time?
I'm assuming same stack sizes for both structures.
With inexperienced villains, definitely 1st, quality villians the 2nd. |

Re: More levels or more time?
The second one is a slower structure. The BB averages 75 for the first hour while in the first one, the BB averages 100 for the first hour.

[/ QUOTE ] Both of you guys are correct but what if we just say that you post blinds every 25 minutes, so at :25, :50 and :75 (1:15) In this case it costs you more under scenario 1 than scenario 2, 675 vs. 525. Thats pretty significant. It works out this way under several other examples also, maybe not as extreme though. Scenario 1 starts costing you more in the middle of this range so when you do get to the 200/400 level you actually have less. Scenario 2 costs more at the end, where I believe it will end up costing you slightly more. Wouldn't you want to preserve your chips / stack / playing ability for as long as possible? If so I would think Scenario 2 would be a better choice? Edit: After rereading the posts I think we're all in agreement? |
