Default 2006 World Poker Finals (Medic’s win)

Was watching the replay of that tourney recently and got to thinking…WTF was E.G Harvin thinking during that final table? Specifically when it got heads up. He would limp in all the time and call stupid bets on the river when he had nothing (often times only with high card).

I’ll admit, I’ve never had a significant cash in a tourney the size of your average WPT, but how can one play solid enough to make it to a final table only to piss his chips away like that? Props to him for the major score, but jesus…what a meltdown.

Is this just a case of some dude being more preoccupied with being on TV and not focusing on his game?

Probably tried to get too cocky in front of the TV.

i think E.G. played awful during the final table, but got very lucky. Medic played very solid. GJ on the win.
