$2.2 Stop and go
Do you like this stop and go? Villain has opened a lot of pots preflop, especially from button... I might get some better aces like A9-AJ to fold on some flops (at least
against bad players)? Well AJ might not fold on this particular flop though Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Button (t4070) SB (t3630) Hero (t1295) UTG (t2490) MP (t3515) Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Button raises to t525, 1 fold, Hero calls t375. [ QUOTE ]
Do you like this stop and go? [/ QUOTE ] Not really. Your general problems are: a) There is no hand he will fold here. b) the stacks are such that he should be calling with any 2 given the pot size. c) even if he calls and loses, he's still got a big stack. Just fold preflop. |

Re: $2.2 Stop and go
Would it be better if we had slightly bigger stack so that the push would be closer to pot-size on the flop?
I don't often use stop and go but in this situation I thought I needed to do something because villain seemed to raise my BB too often and I was blinding to death. And I figured that I was probably around 50/50 against villains range. So the addition of small fold equity on the flop might make this good, no? |

Re: $2.2 Stop and go
ya i think this is fine, but not significantly different from just putting it in preflop. or you can fold preflop, though i probly wouldn't do it either vs. villain as described.
