Systems for ladders / steps
Hi,
I started playing online a coupla years back on Ladbrokes poker. I used these ladders, along with reading to learn how to play. I qualified on level 1 and built up to a $800 credit roll as of last year. The ladders system is of the following: Level 1 - buyin $3 + .30, top 3 qualify Level 2 - buyin $10 + 1, top 3 qual, 4th gets rebuy Level 3 - buyin $30, top 3 Level 4 - buyin $100, cashout $500, $300, $200 This is kind of a pscychology / bankroll post. I can beat the $10 level no probs, peeps play pretty loose and it is the same regulars, so i have good notes etc. $30 level is more interesting as a lot of the idiots don't make it. Also, peeps playing straight through realise they are 1 qualification away from final table so is a tighter game and thus takes more concentration. Final table, even tighter. Basically, when I sit down to play poker, I waste too much time by just playing a couple of $10n1s, which - win or lose makes little difference to my roll and no difference to my bank balance. If I'm up for it, I may play a $30, yet I rarely play a $100. I've played 6 ever, results, 1 1st, 1 3rd, 2 bubbles. If I don't make it ITM, i get upset. If this were the 'real world', I would be way underrolled to play $100 Sngs. I've tried building a normal roll from small stakes, but find them tedious and I end up tilting and dusting it. Can anyone recommend a good system or way forward for me? |
