Default Vegas low to midstakes games

I went through the FAQ (great post on tournies btw) and made an attempt at searching but failed to find what I was looking for.

I'm going to Vegas for the first time starting next Saturday. I'm a 1/2 player online and unfortunately have to stick with 1/2 - 2/4 playing live in Vegas for bankroll liquidity issues. If I have a nice run I will definitely sit at 5/10.

What are some good places to play? I've heard of there being an uncapped 1/2 game, but I can't remember where it is.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Pick any game with an open seat, seriously. You didn't specify if you are referring to limit or NL. There are no 1/2 limit or 5/10 limit games, very few 5/10 NL games, no 2/4 NL games other than Mandalay and that doesn't run often.

Uncapped 1/2: Golden Nugget and Wynn.

Very sorry...

I'm talking about NL.

So it basically goes 1/2 then 5/10 as far as NL is concerned?

Wow, I made a terrible OP...

by "good" games I'm referring to:

1. Atmosphere
2. Staff professionalism
3. Rake - I'm not a huge fan of raising pre-flop only to bet into a completely dry pot on the flop.
4. softness (although not really a concern at low stakes, as Photoc said I can pick virtually any seat)
5. Vicinity to where I am staying (Caesar's, but they are running the Caesar's classic and might not have many cash games going, not sure).

live poker usually doesn't have 2/4...they have 2/5 instead

MGM is my favorite 2/5 place...they also have 1/2 and 2/5 running 24/7

Wow, that is an awesome link... thank you.

Seems where I am staying has almost exactly what I'm looking for, 1/3 $500 max and 2/5 uncapped.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder on these.

Only harrahs properties have a $5 max rake at this time. A couple of the former Mandalay properties rake whether there is a flop or not.

Again, the city is filled with recreational players. Pros are not playing low limits

Every casino near Caesars has a poker room except Casino Royale and Bill's.

CP should have plenty of side games going. There was a lot of action during the National Headsup Championship.

So will Caesars get some mid-limit games going because of this big tourney?
Last I heard they rarely, if ever, get the 6/12 LHE going on a regular basis.
I guess I will probably avoid Harrahs properties anyway since they have the increased rake.
