Finding a spot when short stack
I'm really short and this is my second hand in a new table:
is this shove reasonable? Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t200/t400 (Ante: t25) 9 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: t7325 UTG+1: t14546 MP1: t1225 MP2: t4480 MP3: t2940 Hero: t1095 Button: t2770 SB: t2385 BB: t9307 Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is CO with T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4 folds, MP3 raises all-in t2915, Hero calls all-in t1070, 3 folds. Uncalled bets: t1845 returned to MP3. |

Re: Finding a spot when short stack
I think it's fine. With an M of just over 1 you're looking for any ace, and hopefully you can double up.

Re: Finding a spot when short stack
U have about 42% equity vs a range of: 22+;ATs+;KJs+;ATo+;KQo and you're getting 1.7 to 1 from the pot...oh and u have 2.5 BBs... call.

Insta all in here.
I hope you didn't fold down to this stack? |

Re: Finding a spot when short stack
Thanks for the answers: my problem seems to be that I like to be blinded out.
What if we are in the same situation but with a M=10? Still a shove: or looking for a better spot? |

Re: Finding a spot when short stack
With an M of ten, you should either re raise all in to isolate or fold. I'd er on the side of caution and just fold... Your not quite looking for a shove spot but you don have chips to be raising 3x and the like really...

Re: Finding a spot when short stack
I think so,unless he's been playing very nittily. If he has 7BB, he should be shoving at least 25% of his hands, and you have 56% equity against that range.

Re: Finding a spot when short stack
M of 10 and 10 BB a hugely different animal... with 10 BB this is close with an M of 10 I would wait without a read
