2. bad
1. meh; whatever. I'm a big fan of the c/r. Like a year ago leading with monsters was the cool thing but I find myself only doing that in multiway pots. |

Re: I call from the BB and proceed thusly
I like it with 99 as there is no need to let him see any cards for free on that kind of board, and he is very likely to c/c with QQ, KK, or AA here. I would think he would re-raise on the flop with JJ or 10-10, so I think leading out is very good against a perceived weak/tight with 99 here.
With 77, I'm not too crazy about it. I mean, it is unlikely that flop completely missed him, and if he is weak/tight, then isn't he more likely to call you down than fold? I dunno, to me, it seems like you're turning 77 into a bluff with no specific reason for doing so. If I have 77 here, I probably just look to move onto the next hand after a flop like that. |

Re: I call from the BB and proceed thusly
1) Fine. Flop donk is cool so is c/r, but if he has a hand b3b looks like a draw.
2) No like. Its just too drawy OOP and youre drawing to the crap end anyways. I mean even if hes weak tight, what J will he fold, maybe KJ. Id just respect his UTG raise here and give up. |

good with 99
bad with 77, but would be very good if flop had 2 low cards on that we could rep our set with (3 6 J // 4 8 K // etc) |

Re: I call from the BB and proceed thusly
heh. In the hand at the table, I had 99. I got to thinking about my turn bet...there's not a whole lot of hands that he can have that call flop and then can call a PSB on the turn. A sensible player should be folding almost everything there. Then, I thought, pot pot would be a sick way to play 77/88...
