Re: PLO25 - Farily Certain he has Trip Aces on flop
people usually limp raise AA utg when they get the chance too so i think QQQ is a lot more likely here if he has a set. i'd call and see the turn.

Re: PLO25 - Farily Certain he has Trip Aces on flop
I think he has a set, as he really tries to protect his hand. As a nutpeddler I think I would fold without worrying about it too much. I don't see how a call will du us any good. Trying to hit flush and get money in at the turn doesn't seem like an EV+ thing to do

Re: PLO25 - Farily Certain he has Trip Aces on flop
Call and take advantage of position. Unless he had absolutely worthless side cards this is an odd way for villian to play aces. Especially since you made a very weak lead at a pot with 3 pair and 2nfd. Lead the pot for more. Expect good players to check raise with hands other than sets.

Re: PLO25 - Farily Certain he has Trip Aces on flop
folding here i think is really bad. it really looks like you have no fold equity on the flop but this guy could easily show up with AQ, or aq with a gutshot himself. or have sometime like
Jc 10c Kx 5x. You have position here and it will make the turn a lot easier to play. |

Re: PLO25 - Farily Certain he has Trip Aces on flop
ugh i dont like the flop bet! would you normally bet 1/3 of the pot with AAxx here? i would pot the flop and 8 handed against a nitty(?)villan i fold this.
You cant really call here as villan pretty much commits all in 90% of turns and repotting is opponent dependent, if hes running like 45/20/5 then its autoshove (remember to click rebuy ) |

Re: PLO25 - Farily Certain he has Trip Aces on flop
didn't see the flop bet but i agree that is really bad. preflop you really should be raising more than the minium too. as played I like a call even more. if i'm villian i would be thinking i had fold equity when you make that weak bet so i'd be raising my combo draws here always.

Re: PLO25 - Farily Certain he has Trip Aces on flop
I think that people are very honest with their cards on these limits, and if they're not then usually it's because they dont understand hand values. I think mostly you are trailing. In my style of play it's an easy fold anyway...
And, as pointed out, your bets and raises put you in this difficult situation, because you don't quite know how much Villain's reraise means. Still, I prefer to be on the safe side :P |
