AA facing raise on the river
Villan's VPIP is 15.76 over 200 hands. I was confused by the raise on the river in this hand. I'm not sure what he's trying to represent.
PokerStars 0.05/0.10 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Final Pot: 12 BB The river here isn't exactly a scare card. It completes two backdoor draws. I'm having a hard time putting him on a range where he raises the river but he wouldn't raise the turn. |

Re: AA facing raise on the river
are you suggesting you should 3 bet the river? (i wouldnt)
folding is out the question imo, esp w/o a detailed read of his play |

Re: AA facing raise on the river
Yes, I still feel like I'm ahead at this point. I don't know whether to raise or call. I want to lean towards raising. The only hands he's winning with that I could really put him on are the Ace of hearts and another heart (maybe the 8), KT (he didn't raise the turn), and K7 (he raises the river). That seems like a sensible range for him to play the hand the way he did.

Re: AA facing raise on the river
Call it down, and update your notes on this player in this spot. Not much else you can really do imo.

77, 9J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or ATC, who knows. B/c and move on. c/c is very weak and folding sucks and 3-betting is like...

Re: AA facing raise on the river
i think we have to call this river. i wouldnt even contemplate raising, nor could i argue a c/c on this river.
just one of those spots where i think a b/c is in order. no folds here |
